A young Buenos Aires woman with Down syndrome strikes out on her own, and touches the lives of others after her mother vanishes following a deadly bombing. Growing up, Anita could always rely on her mother to take care of her. Then, on the morning of July 18, 1994, a horrific act of terrorism changes her life forever. As emergency crews struggle to care for those injured in the bombing of the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association, Anita drifts through the streets, uncertain of how to carry on. Later, her encounters with compassionate strangers give her the strength to endure, while teaching others that angels can sometimes appear in the least-likely form.
