April Fool's Day just happens to be the birthday of rich college student Buffy (Deborah Foreman), so she invites a group of friends from Vassar over to her family's island getaway to spend the weekend partying. Though some practical-joke shenanigans on the ferry over from the mainland lead to unexpected bloodshed and put a damper on the festivities, Buffy unleashes a flood of more benign pranks on her guests, setting a tone of giddy abandon. With plenty of randy guys and gals on hand and no parental supervision, it isn't long before drunken escapades ensue. As the weekend progresses, however, guests begin to disappear mysteriously, and before long Buffy and friends find themselves huddling in terror in their remote getaway. The next ferry isn't due until Monday, and the partygoers aren't sure whether any of them will make it that long. The mostly Canadian cast of April Fool's Day includes Leah King Pinsent, daughter of actor/director Gordon Pinsent, and Amy Steel, a veteran of the second and fourthFriday the 13th installments.

"April Fool's Day" is absolutely awesome, it has gore, suspense, and fear all jumbled together. It is about a college student, Muffy(Deborah Foreman), who decides to have an April Fool's Day party at her secluded house. She invites a whole bunch of her friends including: Amy Steel(Friday the 13th 2), Ken Olandt(Leprechaun), and Clayton Rohner(Just One of the Guys), and sets them all up with pranks. But as the weekend slips by, Muffy's friends start disappearing, one by one. Now, the joke's over, and the real party has begun....

being a horror fan its good to see different kinds of horror with an open mind. and i remember when i was younger i always see this on the shelves at blockbuster but never got a chance to see it for some reason. years later i find this at the library and finally got a chance to see it. i have to say this was quite creative and suspenseful. the pranks were unique and funny like the light off then another gets turned on and that weird black mask thing. basically the story takes place as the title of the film suggests with a group of friends staying at a mansion that belongs to a friend. the ending was something and reminded me in a way of clue and gosford park.
