Basically gives the background of Both robins and what they did after partnering with batman and this movie was alittle more graphic then other DC animated movies but Highly recomended!

I'm a comic book fan and enjoyed the Red Hood storyline when it came out a few years ago in print form. This movie was enjoyable because it generally follows the comic as far as the plot and characters go and it's nice to see this particular story get an animated treatment. Bruce Greenwood and Jensen Ackles are great as Batman and the Red Hood respectively. I was never sure what I thought the Red Hood would "sound" like but I'm liking Ackles' take on him. Neil Patrick Harris is here too as the voice of Nightwing but quite honestly, while I like Nightwing, including him here seemed pretty extraneous and didn't really add much to the overall story. As an aside, the problem with the Red Hood storyline (and I'm going to try not to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read the comic/trade paperback) is that the Red Hood has been generally been neglected since then and relegated to popping up rather arbitrarily in other characters' books. I think this character has some serious potential to be an ambiguous anti-hero type in the DC universe; a complicated guy who you're not sure to root for or not. Fortunately, this movie does indeed make it possible for you to both like and abhor the Red Hood at the same time. It was nice to revisit the origin of the Hood. DC has brought him back in a limited series this year which I haven't gotten around to yet, so here's hoping that there's some good writing in store for him. All in all, this is probably my favorite DC movie so far. I will warn you, however, that this movie is pretty dark. It probably isn't for the under-10 or so set of kids. It has some themes that you might find difficult explaining to your 7-year-old.
