Very cute film! A great way to spend time with your children. With Adam Sandler, you know you will be laughing. Especially, with that silly looking gerbil you see throughout the entire movie, and you can't miss how he's first introduced! P.S You're kids may crave gumballs while watching this film..have some on hand! Michelle Rossi Chicken Soup for the Soul Contributor

I was living in Norfolk Virginia during this time and fortunately persuaded my husband to see Bedtime Stories with me at the movie theater(inside the MacArthur Center mall). The bonus features attributed to the Bedtime Stories dvd movie are sneaks on; Double Feature dvd of Dadnapped and Hatching Pete, Morning Light, Disney Princess Protection Program, Walt Disney Pictures; Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure, what looks to be a commercial ad for Disney XD, G-Force, Walt Disney Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Disney Pixar Monsters Inc., Disney Blue Ray Magic in High-Def, and Disney Magic movie rewards. The actual Bedtime Stories movie stars Adam Sandler as Skeeter Bronson. Skeeter Bronson puts a lot in his hotel job and is surprised one day when he finds out that his boss Barry Nottingham (Richard Griffiths) promotes Kendall Duncan (Guy Pearce)for the job that he was sure was his. It was not from Skeeter Bronson having a sense of entitlement, rather it had to do more with how hard he was working and the original promise that Griffiths had made to this father Marty Bronson (Jonathan Pryce). Duncan is shown to be so crude and calculating to the point that he even dates the boss’s daughter Violet Nottingham (Teresa Palmer), but secretly carries a romantic torch for fellow hotel worker Aspen (Lucy Lawless). Skeeter’s friend Mickey (Russell Brand) tries to patiently explain to Skeeter Bronson why Duncan was chosen but Bronson appears to avoid taking Mickey’s suggestion (for certain reasons). Anyhow, in the meanwhile, Skeeter Bronson is also tasked with watching his niece Bobbi (Laura Kesling) and nephew Patrick (Jonathan Heit). This is because his sister Wendy Bronson (Courtney Cox) is looking to get a job in Arizona after hearing that she is going to be laid off. Fortunately, Wendy Bronson does have a good friend in Jill Hastings (Keri Russell). Anyhow, Skeeter Bronson also takes on the role of father figure as well because his sister also happens to be a single mother and he also cares to be a father figure influence in his niece and nephew’s life. Bronson’s life changes dramatically once he notices the power that his niece and nephew have with just telling their stories with their imaginations. The movie even implies why their storytelling is powerful when the quote in the movie is mentioned ‘Your Fun Is Only Limited by Your Imagination). There are some song snippets that play during the movie such as Fire by The Ohio Players,I’m On Fire by Bruce Springsteen, Disco Inferno by The Trammps, Eternal Flame by The Bangles, Rock Me Amadeus by Falco, and Don’t Stop Believing by Journey (towards the end of the movie).Of course, there are more actors and actresses featured, yet something tells me to save some plot info for those who have yet to see the movie.

Purchased this for my Grandchildren...we had a great time watching and sharing this movie. Lots of opportunity to create new scenerios and add imagination to it.

My kids and I really enjoyed this film as we do all of Adam Sandler's films. We first saw this film in the theatre, but we wanted a copy for our home.

"Bedtime Stories" is one of those rare films where the entire family can sit and enjoy simply being entertained. Adam Sandler gives a great, and unexpectly clean performance, as Skeeter, a care-free uncle left with the evening care of his nephew and neice. Not knowing how to entertain two children that have never been introduced to the mind-numbing effects of television, Skeeter turns to the example of his father and tells them intricate bedtime stories. He soon learns that the events happening in real life are repeats of the stories he had woven the evening before. There are many wonderful lines and relatable characters in this engaging family story, especially the character of Bobbi, Skeeter's neice. Her innocent insistance of inserting a romantic twist into each one of Skeeter's stories will touch the hearts of girls, both young and old. The story ends with Skeeter learning that even when he thinks the end is here and the story hasn't come to the conclusion he desired, there is still time for the hero of the story to fly in and save the day and, thanks to Bobbi's insistance, get the girl in the end. This is a must see 'Bedtime Story' for the entire family!

Adam Sandler is a great story teller for all ages. Delightful to watch , this story changes a self absorbed man into one who falls into a loving relationship with his sisters children. He, through opening himself to them, sees his own imagination and life develop into that of a person who can see the wonderment that children have for life. Belief without question that some things just "happen". We loved it. We are ages 5 through 60 years old and we all loved it.

I won't say that Bedtime Stories is great, but I can honestly say I enjoyed watching this movie. The story isn't necessarily new, but there are small twists (unveiled at a decent pace) and it's very touching. I liked the cast's chemestry and while some parts are a little odd and unbelievable...it's a children's movie and to find one these days that doesn't make you want to run for the exit is a good thing.
