this movie is so-so. the only high point is that steven seagal is the main hero. there is way too much 'matrix' action. the seagal action is not like the action that you saw in marked for death or under siege. the plot and special effects are really good though. this movie should have went to theaters and could have been legit competition.

This is an excellent action film portraying Sensei Segal as he should be as well as carrying his mesage. The wire work employed is enjoyable though unnecesary in that Sensei Segals' presence and capabilities could easily carry any film. 'Belly of the Beast' comes as a great relief after the past two straight to video films, 'The Foreigner' and 'Out for a kill'. This film should have been in the theaters.
