This is one of the best lesbian movies I have seen. The plot was so amazing, and real. I can see this happening to me! At least, I wish this type of love could happen so quickly :) This movie is good for when you are by yourself, or with your lover.

My friend ad I sat down to watch this movie, not knowing what to expect. We laughed, we cried, and most importantly we related to almost every story in the movie. This movie had several stories woven together in such an intricate fashion it grasped your attention at every turn. This is one of the best, if not the best coming out/coming of age stories i have ever seen. I also loved the way it incorporated the family and friends into the story. Too bad more people won't see Better Than Chocolate. It really is a real eye-opener.

Better Than Chocolate is a wonderfully humorous, interesting, sexy, quirky and encouraging film. It deals with the coming out of a lesbian to her mother and brother under some unusual circumstances. The story is optimistic in the face of an otherwise still intolerant society. It is what it is intended to be. It addresses several societal issues surrounding the characters in the story, but it doesn't take itself too seriously. It isn't supposed to. I have seen it several times and thoroughly enjoy it at each sitting. I personally loved the portrayal of the trannsexual who is a friend of the lesbian couple in the film. The film is quite original. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

This is not just a tale of one girl's coming (out) of age. It's the tale of several stories woven together in the most amazing way. This story is so true-to-life, I found myself saying ''Oh my gosh, that's so ME!'' Through hills and valleys of emotion, this story leads you into the best places of your imagination. It'sure to delight and destined to become a lesbian classic. It already is in my house!
