Join Bill Nye as he explores the chromosomal world of DNA and visits a veterinarian from Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo who helps save endangered animals using gene technology. In this episode of the popular series, students will have a chance to learn about genes, and how human traits are passed from generation to generation. Such physical characteristics as hair color, skin color, and whether hair is curly or straight are all dependent upon genetic background. The Science Guy compares genes to a blueprint, not for a building, but for a kid. Using some flashy graphics and other devices to help students retain the information, Bill Nye shows how human cells follow this blueprint to create a human being.

Love Bill Nye and the easy, fun way he relates complex subjects, but this is just TOO expensive for the amount of info. Would be great for schools or libraries.
