Overview

They're (sometimes) big, they're hairy, and they're warm-blooded. From human to moose and from cat to rat, Bill Nye explains what it takes to be in the mammal family. Bill Nye the Science Guy takes on mammals in this episode of the series that has kids laughing as they learn. Nye's experience as a standup comic gives his brand of science education a certain coolness, and young science students usually don't mind sitting through his programs. Bill Nye the Science Guy: Mammals offers definitions and discussions of what mammals are (they have hair, feed milk to their young, and generally stick around to take care of their babies, for example) and how they differ from other species.

Just a little clarification - this dvd should really be titled Marine Mammals as that is all that is discussed. But the kids enjoy it. The playtime is short ~ half an hour ~ relative to the cost.
