This is the movie that made Jean-Claude Van Damme a star, contrary to belief. It has been said that ''Kickboxer'' was the film that got him noticed. I beg to differ. Any Van Damme fans will tell you, that this was his finest hour. Whenever talking to anyone about martial arts movies, ''Bloodsport'' always gets a favorable nod. Whenever talking to anyone about Van Damme movies, ''Bloodsport'' is always mentioned first. THIS is the one to watch if you have never watched Van Damme before. All the rest are just gravy. Based on the true life accounts of Frank Dux, this film scores. The acting left something to be desired...but since when could anyone act in a martial arts film? Buy it and enjoy it today. You won't regret it.

Bloodsport features Jean Claude Van Damme as American Frank Dux in arguably his best film ever. This martial arts masterpiece rivals some of the best martial arts movies ever made. Van Damme adds his own personal style to the film, and his incredible kicks will put anyone in awe. I just want to know when this is going to come out on DVD! A definite must buy for any martail arts enthusiast.
