Buffy the Vampire slayer is a great series, I been watching Buffy since I was little and it was still concidered a horror. This series never gets boring and never gets old either I rewatched this show tons of times. The characters in the show are all great and you get attached to all of them, even the villans. Great show! Buffy Rocks! <3

Each Fan sees something different in this series Many see the show as a metaphor for High-School. Others take is seriously - loving the monsters & magic, the love & lust, Still others watch the characters and see something valuable - Being the Slayer snapped Buffy out of society's program, it freed her mind. Buffy's crew - those who share her secret - are also free from society's preconceptions and ignorance. Buffy and her crew have their eyes open, Whatever a fan sees, this series has powerful drama, formidable vilians. evolving character, and excellent battles. This series is great for almost all

For quite a while I refused to watch. "Buffy?" A "vampire slayer?" The very title prejudiced me--I expected something campy or cheesy--and this isn't it at all. I still have at least one friend who won't watch because its a vampire show. All I can say is that at heart what it's about isn't vampires but friendships and growing up. Yes, there be vampires--and witches and other creatures that go bump in the night. But the series works because we come to care about Buffy and Willow and Xander and Giles. This first series doesn't quite rise to the brilliance of the next two seasons--but it certainly provides a lot of entertaining viewing and I'm sure by the end of the last episode of the first season you'll be hooked.
