I think this is a superb series. all the acting is of the highest quality and you get emotionally drawn into the story because the actresses play their roles so perfectly you can't help but get involved. I hope there will be many for seasons to come. TV needs more quality shows that aren't based on sex and violence to lure an audience this one relies on the story line, great acting to keep us wanting more, more, more!!!

I absolutely loved this series!!! It's so warm and touching, but also hits you with the poverty and struggles of the era. The acting is superb - the smallest role is a masterpiece!! Everyone needs to see this series in it's entirety. Wonderful story lines and a full spectrum of emotions throughout!
