Catch Me If You Can

A gifted forger and confidence man attempts to stay one step ahead of the lawman determined to bring him to justice in this comedy-drama from Steven Spielberg, based on a true story. Frank W. Abagnale Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a 16-year-old high school student who finds himself emotionally cut adrift when his mother, Paula (Nathalie Baye), leaves his father, Frank Abagnale Sr. (Christopher Walken), after Frank Sr. falls into arrears with the Internal Revenue Service. One day at school, Frank Jr. attempts to pass himself off as a substitute teacher, and easily makes the subterfuge work. His small-scale success gives Frank some ideas, and he soon discovers bigger and more profitable ways of hoaxing others, passing himself off as an airline pilot, a doctor, and an attorney. Along the way, Frank learns how to become a master forger, and uses his talent and charm to pass over 2.5 million dollars in phony checks. Frank's increasingly audacious work soon attracts the attention of Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks), an FBI agent who is determined to put Frank behind bars. Frank seems to enjoy being pursued by Carl, and even goes so far as to call Carl on the phone to chat every once in a while. While posing as a doctor, Frank falls in love with Brenda Strong (Amy Adams), a sweet girl working as a candy striper. When Frank asks Brenda to marry him, he decides to assume a new identity to impress her father, Roger (Martin Sheen) -- who happens to be the District Attorney of New Orleans, LA. Catch Me If You Can was based on the autobiography of the real Frank W. Abagnale Jr., who has a cameo in the film and today works on the side of the law as a top consultant on preventing forgery and designing secure checking systems.

K so i had never seen this movie before i bought it! Well, my sister and my mother did so i figured it had to be good. When i went to the guy at hte counter to purchase it he said "Great Flick, youll love it," i was instantly excited. That night i watched this movie in my room, i was so tired and it was like 1 in the morning but i could not stop watching it! I loved this movie and its by far well done on Spielburg, DiCaprio, and Hanks' part! The roles that Leonardo picks never bore me and i have frequently enjoyed all of his work and i admire him as an actor and hes got the looks to match his talent!

I watch this movie because of Leonardo Di Carpio. This movie really captured my heart. The story of cleverness and love, a love for that drove Frank Abagnale to cheat and lied. A love for the money that makes their life became sad. But most of all, the ending was great and I really love the movie.

Okay, let's face it: Leonardo DiCaprio got himself off to a bad start in my opinion with Titanic. My best friend, however, was set on seeing this. I reluctantly agreed, and ended up having the time of my life. It was undoubtedly the funniest movie I've seen in who knows how long, and I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

This is Frank W Abagnale Jr. I think that they did a very good job but it was not completely true. Read the book.

This movie, in terms of just plain entertainment, was so good. It was a very fun movie to watch and was thoroughly enjoyable. Christopher Walken was perfect as the out of luck loving dad, Tom Hanks was hilarious as the FBI agent, and Leonardo Di Caprio was perfect for this role.

Although I'm not a big leo fan, I still think his performance along with Tom Hanks was good. Of course, anything from Steven Spielberg is bound to be good. But the story line is the big prize. It's as good as it comes.

I had such a great time watching this movie. It's one of the few movies I've ever seen that's kept me laughing from beginning to end. Tom Hanks and Leonardo Dicaprio are great and the movie is different--but still awesome--as it switches between present and flashback. It was cool to see other actresses such as Jennifer Garner with roles in it. The music was much different than what John Williams usually composes, but the music fits perfectly with the movie. If you want to see a great, hilarious movie, I recommend you see this.

I really liked this movie and i thought that it was real entertaining. i really liked how he kept switching charecters. The story line moved rapidly and kept peole on the edge of there sits. i would definitly reccomend this movie to my frinds. The only flaw was that it is kind of sad that it is true.

This movie actually was very well done and followed the real story about as well as a hollywood movie can. If you are really interested in the story read the book. The description of his time in a French prison was amazing. Safe to say, I will never visit france after reading this.

I love this movie it was brilliant but cool, very sneaky and breath taking

This is a great movie of cat-and-mouse. Leonardo Dicaprio gives a great performance as a con man on the run, and Tom Hanks steps away from his typical role of the underdog you want to route for. It's a great departure for him.

Great escapist entertainment. Even if you like deep and serious melodrama, you have to really take your hat off to this film. Sort of like a vacation from the serious. I'm not a particular fan of Speilberg, DiCaprio OR Hanks, but the three have made a very fun if light movie. Jennifer Garner though steals the show with her brief scene! Do your brain a favor, send it on vacation and kick back and enjoy this movie!
