Very good movie and I love the scenery of beautiful Italy. Have always been a fan of Sandra Dee and it's great seeing a movie knowing this is when she and Bobby Darin bacame a couple and actually married before the movie premiered.

This is a lovely film, indeed. It is totally unpretentious yet remains one of the best comedies to come out of the sixties. The whole cast is just about perfect, the cinematography is glorious, the Portofino-Santa Margherita Ligure setting is wonderful to look at, and the story remains lively, entertaining to the last frame. This is one of the films that one would like to inhabit, going into the screen as in THE PURPLE ROSE OF CAIRO.

There are so many levels to this movie that you can watch it over and over. From the moment the movie starts to the end there are constant adventures. From great characters you can bond with to the visions of the beautiful Italian coast. You will fall in love with this movie and wish you were in it as one of the characters. Definitly a movie to take your cares away and leave you feeling like you want to watch the movie again just for fun.

This is one of my favorite movies, what's not to like, the gorgeous Rock Hudson and the very beautiful Gina Lollobrigida in the beautiful country of Italy. A wealthy man who visits his home in Italy early in the summertime to only find out that his servants have turned it into a hotel for part of the season. Some how he finds himself watching over the young guests staying at his place. It's a very cute movie.
