When I saw the words ''British TV mini-series', I admittedly wasn't expecting much. I was very pleasantly surprised. ''Dangerous Lady'' offers everything one could ask for in a quality production: good cinematography, an excellent script, fully-drawn three-dimensional characters, and fine acting. In particular, Jason Isaacs is outstanding as Michael ''Mickey'' Ryan, the eldest of eight children born to an extremely poor, Irish Catholic family. Forced to provide for his family when his abusive, alcoholic father can't, Michael will stop at nothing to better their lot in life. The result is perhaps the role of a lifetime for Mr. Isaacs, and he more than meets the challenge. I highly recommend this film.
