Been watching the movie Dark Streets. It's a musical. The last ones I've seen are old movies from the 40's and 50's featuring Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, and others of that era. This film is a dark mystery centering around a night club owner trying to make a success. The club features nightly shows of the cabaret variety with beautiful half clothed dancers strutting their stuff with singing and dancing. The gist of the story is the devious uncle has killed the current owners father (his brother) for the ownership rights to the club. Now he is after his nephew in order to acquire the deed to the club. Action is sometimes intense with very good singing and dancing along with several renditions of songs by well known performers, i.e., Natalie Cole, Etta James, and Aaron Neville. This movie contains some sex scenes and depicts drug taking with some violent content. If you are of the puritan class, don't watch. Otherwise, I think you'll like. Rated "R", Released 2008, 4-stars.
