People have considered this quirky 1997 film about a womanizing writer whose characters come back to haunt him as a semi-autobiographical fantasy of the film's writer/director Woody Allen. That would have made for an interesting comparison and fascinating DVD fodder; however, this DVD has very few extras in addition to the film itself. Woody Allen fans know that he rarely submits to interviews and therefore won't subject himself to DVD commentary, but the disc is absent in many other possible extras. The two-sided disc has widescreen and full-frame versions available, as well as detailed cast biographies and filmographies of the all-star cast, but nothing else. There are no theatrical trailers. The 1:85 transfer is excellent, though the Dolby Digital Audio is in stereo only. Language and subtitle options are English only.
