The transition from Season 4 was a little wierd with the 5 years later thing going on, but the season got better and all in all it is worth adding to your collection.

The women of Wisteria Lane are not your typical neighbors. In Desperate Housewives: Season 5 each woman has their own story line that several can relate to. Many women can connect on multiple levels while watching this television show. For example, Susan Mayer played by Teri Hatcher, who went through a nasty divorce from her husband Mike Delfino. Then there is Bree Hodge played by Marcia Cross, who has become extremely successful from her cook book and is ruining her relationship with a loving husband who devotes all of his time to her. What I liked about Desperate Housewives: Season 5 is that it fast forwards through the women's lives by five years. After four seasons of seeing these women living their same day-to-day life with different dramatic or comical happenings, we now get to see how they live in the future. There are many new problems these women face and new neighbors to cause more of a stir on Wisteria Lane that keeps the audience interested. Some actors and actresses in this series are struggling financially while others are financially stable. The writer also shows economic wealth, for example, Gabrielle Solis played by Eva Longoria Parker, and her husband Carlos Solis who are extremely wealthy and flaunt their money. One day Carlos is thrown in jail and Gabby goes through rough times to find money and must change her fashionista lifestyle. We also see a family struggle to keep their family business open with the horrible economy. The purpose of this show is to have the audience see what it is like to live in the suburbs as well as how other people handle certain situations thrown at them. We get to see families who have many secrets that are left in their basement closets, literally. You will see how a wife and husband channel out their anger when one is found committing adultery. This season also shows how families will fight for one another and stick together through rough times. The audience ranges from multiple ages for watching Desperate Housewives. I began watching Desperate Housewives when I was fifteen years old, and I find that to be a perfect age. In this season there is a lot of promiscuity between the housewives. There are multiple sex scenes but with clothes on or right before they undress. I would recommend this television series to those 15 years old and up. This series is also perfect for ladies or men who are going towards the fashion career path. In Desperate Housewives: Season 5, Chanel, Dior, Vera Wang, and many more designer styled outfits are present throughout the series. An added bonus to this DVD is the audio commentaries along with a blooper reel. The director of Desperate Housewives, Marc Cherry also gives fans his thoughts on his favorite episodes and takes us behind the scenes of how each episode is processed. I would have to rate Desperate Housewives: Season 5 with 4 out of 5 stars. This season is a comical relief and will also keep you on your toes throughout each episode. It is most defiantly worth your time and your money. Enjoy!

This season was a trainwreck! I mean, there are lame storylines for all of the housewives, especially Bree. Come on, Bree's hubby a klepto??? But I thought Eva Longoria Parker was great this year! I mean, this season is really bad, but the 100th episode is not to be missed! They could have done better with the storylines.
