Once upon a time, Gru (voice of Steve Carrell) dreamt of stealing the moon - these days he's a single adoptive father of three precocious girls. Having given up his spectacular life of crime, Gru now aims to produce a delicious new line of jams with the help of his tiny minions and his old pal Dr. Nefario (voice of Russell Brand). Feeling unfulfilled in his newfound role as a jam-maker, Dr. Nefario announces that he will be departing for more evil pastures just as Gru is approached by the Anti-Villain League to capture the mysterious culprit who just stole a top-secret research lab filled with PX 41 -- an experimental serum with the strength to transform harmless animals into ravenous monsters. The AVL is certain that the culprit is covering his tracks by posing as a small business owner at a local mall, and assign their best agent Lucy (Kristen Wiig) to aid Gru in identifying him. Meanwhile, Gru's oldest adopted daughter Margo (voice of Miranda Cosgrove) falls for rebellious teen Antonio (voice of Moises Arias), the leather-jacketed son of boisterous Mexican cantina owner Eduardo (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Now, with Gru's paternal instincts kicking into full gear just as a dastardly plot begins to unfold, the devoted new father must divide his time between saving the world from an enigmatic super-villain, and saving Miranda from total heartbreak. All the while, a suitable mother for the girls may have been standing right under Gru's pointy nose the entire time.

This movie was really good.  It incorporated futurist technology to the viewers.  This movie was an inspiration to use technology in new and  creative ways.  For example there were submarine cars, a lip-stick taser, and the beloved minions.  Even though this movie may be seen as  childish, it is still fun and enjoyable for all ages.  It has a good way of incorporating comedy for everyone.  This movie was also fast-paced.   The viewer did not know who was El Macho, and watched the romance between agent Wilde and Gru develop throughout the entire film. The  best part about the movie, however, had to be the animation. The adorable ways that the minions were depicted captured the audiences hearts Also the animation perfectly incapsulated the childish nature of this film. Overall this movie was one of the best I have seen in a while. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely the perfect gift for Christmas, definitely another best to add to my collection, and officially my favorite flick ever! And my favorite thing about it is Gru gaining a  love interest in Lucy. I laughed a lot during the movie, and to be thoroughly honest Lucy is by far my most favorite character aside from Gru, Agnes, and the Minions. She's just so hilarious, as done thanks to Kristen Wiig, and I just love how Lucy has that 1960s type of design; I mean with her hairstyle, and for her outfit she's got the dress, the heels, and the trench coat, and she's so much like me in a number of ways....Frankly though I was a little disappointed that we didn't get to see much of her and Gru's relationship, aside from the wedding. Let alone, not having her in ANY of the new shorts (WHYYYYY?!?! :( ) But hey, an overall great and brilliant movie, and even better than the first. <3 :) (Y) But, I do also have some negatives about the movie: I very strongly dislike any of the scenes with Antonio, and I'm sorry, but there's something about bad boys and “smooth guys” that I just REALLY don’t like :p . Also, I hate to say this, and I don't do it often, but I'll make it brief: Margo should be ashamed of herself. Both for thinking that she was dating Antonio yet she barely even knew him, and for treating Gru so disrespectfully. I'll admit, Gru was mostly just being overprotective and somewhat unreasonable, yes. But at the same time he was feeling lovesickness of his own, and I really feel for him for that. So I don't think it was fair of Margo, even for a preteen. And, I really just don't see the point of dating at such a young age. Let me just put it this way: Considering a boy that's flirting with her, but she doesn't even know, to be her boyfriend is one thing. And only thinking about herself in the possibility of losing her chance on getting a mother is another. And I'm sorry for all fans who think they're “extremely adorable”, and for whatever reason think they should've stayed together, but that was just wrong and selfish (And in my eyes, even more than Gru was the first time he adopted his daughters)  I will say that it's still sad for Antonio to turn out to be the lame and random little douche bag he really is, and abandoned Margo for another girl (whose name I unintentionally managed to find out is Beatrice), but because of everything I've said so far, I have to think he did the right thing. Even though he still deserved to be turned into an ice block by Gru.  Personally, I think it was only his looks that she liked; and for the third time, I'm sorry, and I hate to be cruel, but I think it might've partly been her own fault that she got dumped. My point is, as much as I love the movie, I think Margo's whole subplot was pretty unnecessary. Again, I don't do that often. And until seeing this, Margo used to be my favorite of the Gru girls, but I love Miranda Cosgrove, and I love iCarly, and I love Despicable Mr so, so, much!! And even though Margo is happy to have a mother now, I still didn't see any apology from her to Gru about Antonio. But I hope she did, otherwise I don't know what I'd do. But above everything, I'm staying dedicated to DM as my favorite franchise. Like I already said, great and brilliant anyway.

Great Movie! Horrible seller... I never even got the movie. I pre-ordered it and they sent me a message saying that if I didn't respond to the email within 24 hours they would cancel my order. It is ridiculous and a big waste of my time. I would recommend buying from Wal*Mart or Amazon. Much better stores than Barnes and Noble. I will never buy from here again. Both times I bought from here I have been disappointing. They let me down.
