For all you Whovians out there, this is a must own. A bittersweet adieu to the best Doctor ever David Tennant, funny and deeply moving, the Doctor's finale is by far the most emotional regeneration ever if you do not cry you have only one heart! The writing and special effects are wonderful and the acting superb, it is no wonder Doctor Who won the best drama at the British National Television Awards and David won for best Dramatic Performance for the fifth time. This is for those who have been watching the series in its entirety as continuity is relevant. Enjoy and as the Doctor would say Allons-y!!

Honestly, I really only liked the "End of Time" parts 1 and 2. "Planet of the Dead", "Waters of Mars" and "The Next Doctor" are not my favorite specials. I abosolutely love Doctor Who but I just feel that the three specials mentioned before aren't the best of the series. Its an awesome series but I just think that the specials should be put in with their corresponding seasons/series.

Bought these for a gift for my college senior niece. She loves them. I also love Doctor Who and the specials for this series are always great. This is a great value - getting all four in one package.

The specials are not as strong as the prior four seasons of the revamped Doctor Who. I will admit; however, that the visual effects were outstanding. These episodes were the first to be shot entirely in HD and therefore are primarily high definition rather than rendered that way. The specials are pretty much standalone, and individually some are really strong while others do not have that pleasure. Overall in terms of quality, I would rate it: 1. End of Time (2) - The New Years Special was a fitting end to the Tennant years. It was epic and finally brought everything together. Although the end was slightly drawn out and a little over done, the entire thing was pretty good and remarkably acted. To see Tennant at his finest, this episode would definitely be in his top five. 2. End of Time (1) - This is the very first episode where we finally see the Doctor feeling selfish and sorry for himself for a change. Acting wise, this episode is both heartbreaking and engaging. The return of the Master, waiting for the four knocks make this special one that is hard to miss. 3. The Next Doctor - This episode brings together for the second time since Blackpool actors David Tennant and David Morrisey. As seen in Blackpool, their remarkable screen chemistry comes through. Although the story is not quite the strongest, it is the performances that one must keep their eyes on. I have rarely seen quite as beautiful performances as the one that the two Davids give us. It was quite disappointing when David--well I don't want to spoil it. 4. The Waters of Mars- Not my favorite, seemed a little too dark and the whimsical portions seemed forced. 5. Planet of the Dead- Boring, Russel T. Davies at his second worst (to Voyage of the Damned). Although Malcolm was a great character, wish there was more of him.

they were all very entertaining and well worth seeing. my personal favorite was The Next Doctor. it was fun and full of humor and all around enjoyable. it was a fight against the cybermen. Planet of the Dead paired the doctor off with a skilled companion who knew what she wanted and took charge of herself and others. she worked well with the doctor. The Waters of Mars is about the first scientists on mars, who were trying to make it habitable. it showed the doctor's darker side after he broke the rules of time. The End of Time parts one and two the doctor worked alongside Donna's grandfather against the master, the doctor's archenemy.

This collection of specials follows the final four adventures of the Tenth Doctor Who. I would recommend this set to any avid Doctor Who fan. Each disc contains a separate special, each with its own gripping story and characters. The final two discs combine to form "The End of Time" for our beloved Tenth Doctor. Old villains return, new villains emerge, old friends lend a hand, and our Doctor is there to save the day. David Tennant gives a spectacular performance as the Doctor struggles with who he was and who he is becoming. The final minutes provide an incredible twist that pulls at the heart and leaves the viewers wanting more. Definitely a must see.

This Dr Who cycle is coming to an end and The Doctor is different. There are no companions who last longer than an episode and The Doctor changes - not always for the better.

This is it ladies and gentleman, David Tennant's last adventures as The Doctor. These episodes are some of the best stories that David and Russell T Davis ever put together. The extras on this 5 disc set are "fantastic". Each episode has the Doctor Who Confidential to accompany it. Also included are David's video diaries from his final days on set. This set is perfect for any fan of the show (both old diehards and new fans alike). It's the perfect send off for David. Allonsy Doctor!

A must-have for the Doctor Who Fan! The first time this Doctor has traveled extensively without a Companion. All the specials are good, but my favorites are "The Next Doctor", & the last episode, "The End of Time Part Two". The last episode is sentimental without being cheesy, & gives the David Tennant years a proper send-off.

This is the ending of the 10th Doctor. For those following the series from the ancient 60's and so forth, he changes. This is great for those adults who grew up on the show. How many other people can say that the show they watched as a kid still comes on. This collection was the final special with David Tennant and shows the ending and transformation to the 11th Doctor Matt Smith. Highly recommended and needed, especially if you live in the states and no one seems to understand you when you talk of the series. Now you have something to let them borrow to catch up. Their are 5 specials in all. Last three or unmissable, don't recommend skipping around though, there are references everywhere for the quick and witty to find, like easter eggs (case in point).

David did an excellent job in this set! His performance is at its best! I don't want to give away any "spoilers", which makes this review very difficult. If you are a Dr. Who fan, it is a MUST for you to see! It is an emotional rollercoaster that was a thrill to ride. Buy it and enjoy!

These are probably the best Doctor Who episodes of the new series. I highly recommend watching these to all fans.

I purchased this to go along with my collections of the last four seasons of Doctor Who, and it is a wonderful addition. The last specials starring David Tennant as the Doctor, the are an essential part of the dvd collection!

Like most Doctor Who fans, I grew up with the Fourth Doctor, Tom Baker, who represented the epitome of the Doctor. I have to say that David Tennant's performance may be even more iconic, especially with the range of emotions the Doctor goes through in the specials. My family greatly enjoyed watching the premieres on BBC America and have thoroughly enjoyed watching the specials over and over. Highly recommend the specials for everyone from those with passing interest to the most die-hard Doctor Who fans.

These specials that comprise the last adventures of the 10th Doctor is a must-have for anyone who is a fan of Doctor Who. "The Last Doctor" provides a conundrum for The Doctor as he seems to meet a future incarnation and deals with a past enemy. "Planet of the Dead" matches the wits of Lady Christina with The Doctor as they take a double decker bus to another world and The Doctor learns something of his future as a fellow passenger tells him his "song is ending." "The Waters of Mars" sees The Doctor visit Mars and the base of the international expedition there. As the mission is failing and everyone is dying, The Doctor throws all the rules of time aside and comes close to losing himself to chaos. "The End of Time" shows what is best about the most recent incarnation of Doctor Who: David Tennant and Russell T. Davies. Bringing back The Doctor's arch nemesis, The Master, as the perfect foil for the last adventure is brilliant. David Tennant brings so much to the role, especially in this. We have seen more emotion from his Doctor through than any other and here we see him portraying the second Doctor to know he was going to regenerate, but the only one who is afraid. He feels his time in this body isn't over, that he has so much more to do. I was in tears as he realizes his time is ending. This is truly amazing work from an amazing team and the end of an era. The 11th will be wonderful, I'm sure, but I shall miss this one.
