Well-made storyline about Solomon's life. Good acting skill. Worth watching again. However, if only the war scene is a bit more realistic. Overall, 2 thumbs-up from Singapore.

i watched this film in school in history. i think it's a fantastic account of the events during the third reich, however, i think it shouldn't be watched by young children. i have no problems or issues with the sex scenes, but i do think the violence could be upsetting for many veiwers. it deeply affected me and i would deffinately say it's well worth watching.

Does a great job of showing what it was like to be there. This movie keeps you glued to your seat. However, younger children shouldn't wach this, since it has nudity and VERY graphic sex.

This is one of the movies that will let u see the life of a boy who has to save himself from the nazis and from being caught. You get to see his story and be a part of it.

i had the honor of meeting mr. perel in israel where he was a surprise guest speaker to my group in a holocoust rememberance museum...it was an honor to see this person and hear his amazing story. he is such a humble man, and very wise. we saw parts of the movie as well. i am amazed at the guilt and self loathing a human being can have for oneself while struggling with being proud as well. survival is a remarkable thing. i am very much looking forward to reading the book. we should never forget what happened in world war II and the toll it took on the world and human spirit.

I watched this movie in Honors Hisotry. It was AMAZING. Showed many parts of WW2 and showed what the Jews went through. Knowing this was a true story was amazing. All the stuff the kid went through was unbelievable. It shows how the Germans "science" was all bologni. The acting, the dark humor, the directing, everything was amazing.

this is a story that you would discount as incredible if it were fiction and if you didn't know that truth is stranger than fiction. My daughter has met Solomon Perel, who is now an elderly man in Israel - he came to speak to her class after they viewed the film. This is an outstanding story and presented in an outstanding film. There are no happy holocaust stories but this one is the closest you can get to a miraculous ending ( though lets not forget, Solomon's family , all but one, perished along with six million of their brethren). My students at College were all glued to their seats for the full 145 minutes. An excellent teaching aid in informing teens and young adults about the period of the Third Reich

AMAZING!!! I loved this movie. I watched it the first time with my european history class, then i had to get it for myself. It seems a bit outlandish at first. like how could all this stuff happen to the same person, but overall great movie. gives you a good understanding of the propoganda during the third reich

My class watched Europa Europa for our WWII unit in 10th grade U.S. History. The movie's dark comedy was an interesting approach the serious issues raised during WWII. The irony in the movie only drew me more into the movie, which addressed and explored the crimes of Nazi Germany in WWII. The pain "Jupp" is forced to endure is incredible, and his luck allows the viewer to witness the different fronts of Nazi Germany. Overall, I recommend the movie for anybody interested in WWII or war in general.

I saw this back in 8th grade for a WWII class. The fact that it is a true story ensures the realism that all war movies need, but you would never be able to geuss that this movie had actually happened without having been previously told. The story is incredible and suspenceful. Although it is not neccessarily an ''action'' movie, it ranks up with (and may surpass) the best of war movies.

I was flipping through the channels when this came on around 1am. Despite the fact I had school the next day, I stayed up and watched this AMAZING movie. The acting, the storyline, the realism of it all... You've got to see this.
