This is one of the few sequels that was as good, if not a little better, than the first one. The story line could have been written a little better in a few parts, but seeing the characters' relationships and how they were as individuals was definitely improved. If you liked the first one, the second is a must see.

Although this story doesn't have the depth that spider-man and x-men does, it doesn't cross into any areas that would be questionable for young viewers. I only noticed one profanity (mild at that)and my 14, 10 and 5 year olds all enjoyed the movie. A must for family night.

This is so much better than the original movie. I wish these movies were a bit longer since the story always feels rushed, but rest assured comic fans, this movie is an improvement in every way compared to the horrible original. As an introduction to the Silver Surfer, I give it a thumbs-up. Granted, details can be argued against but honestly for the general audience I think it holds up well.

Better than the original, but that isn't saying much. The original was purely awful. This one brings hope to fans of the characters.

Though Marvel has hit recent home runs with Iron Man and Incredible Hulk, their Fantastic 4 movies have a lot to be desired for. The Silver Surfer just looks to CGI and there just doesn't seem to be anything worth while going on in the movie. There doesn't seem to be any chemistry between Sue Storm and Mr. Fantastic, mostly due to no real characterization in this or the first movie. They intend to get married through out the film, which just doesn't work for a this second film. Maybe if there would be a third movie, do it there, but with no chemistry between the actors and actresses, no great action sequences, the film seems to fall flat.
