Fat Albert's opening sequence and ending sequence was way too kiddish and stupid for American audiences. The body of the movie had no moral, and the dialogue was completely pointless.

I have 3 kids under 10 and this movie was excellent for us! It had modern music without the degrading lyrics. It showed boys and girls interacting in positive ways with messages of good self esteem. This shows Hollywood that there can be movies without inuendo and bad gags. I am one of our booksellers in the music dept, this will be one of my recommendations to parents!

Fat Albert is a totally uninspired, unfunny waste of time, this coming from someone who is a big fan of the cartoon. Don't rent or buy this movie unless you like throwing your money away on senseless garbage.

I finally got the DVD yesterday. I think I liked it even more the second time! The movie has been attacked a lot for not being true to the cartoon. However, after finally seeing the old cartoons on DVD, I definitely think the movie captured the spirit of the show. The movie characters were actually very close to the originals. I think part of the movie's problem was the show have been off the air for so long, people's memories weren't fresh. My only regret was the lack of "school in the summer time" jokes (but at least they got it in once!) The critics didn't need to be so harsh to this film, it is for kids after all. The story could have been tighter, but it was still enjoyable and inspiring. A lot better than the majority of kids' movies and TV. It made me feel good the same way the cartoons do. :)

I just recently seen this movie and I'm soo mad that I waited this long. This movie was just too funny. It had me laughing the whole way through. As with the animated series, this movie has a message behind it. I tell you, one watch is not good enough, you would want to keep watching again and again.

This movie is sooooo good: No cussing, no potty humor, no bad lyrics in the soundtrack. It's just pure, wholesome fun! I have to admit, the plot did get a little weak in some areas, but I found this a rather entertaining and enjoyable film! Really good. Recommend it for all ages!
