''You Can't Handle The Truth!'' is one of the most famous quotes in movie history, and ''A Few Good Men'' is one of the best movies that I have seen. Of course some of those who have actually been in the military may not like it as much, it is still a great movie

I liked the story of the movie and Jack was amazing as usual.

Typical negative Hollywood depiction of the military, where decorated Veteran (Nicholson) gets his comeuppance from indifferent, wet-behind-the ears, navy lawyer (Cruise). As a 20 year USMC veteran I found the movie offensive and unrealistic. This movie obviously is more concerned with using star strength to generate revenue rather than presenting a factual story or well-written story, but lawyers will probably like it.

This packs power. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's extremely interesting with no slow spots. I only wish more movies like this one will be producted in the future. One of my favorites of all time.

I have watched this movie numerous times and am spell bound by this "Classic film" The characters were so realistic and believeable it sends chills up-and-down my spine. Every time I see Colonel Jessup speak his mind I am instantly transported back to some of the Jessups' I have had to serve under, and it wasn't always a lot of fun! I am a highly decorated Army Major who has seen many of these different types of leaders in the U.S. military. I can honestly say I have served with soldiers who had similiarities to all of the characters portrayed in this film. This film does not portray any branch of the U.S. military in a negative light but I think rather it shows how important honor, loyalty and dedication to duty are. Something that often is lost on the general public. This film also shows that "Absolute power corrupts absolutely" Good thing we have safeguards in place to protect, convict and bring to justice those who fail to use sound judgement and end up harming others.

This is my all-time favorite - Aaron Sorkin knocked it out of the park with his debut screenplay debut. Taut writing, stirring performances and fantastic direction make this a must for any movie-lover. The special features are totally worth it because it includes an interview with the director - who talks about how Jack Nicholson raised the bar when he stepped on set. Please watch this film!!!! Any anything else written by Aaron Sorkin!

This is my favorite movie portraying court room drama. The actors gave phenomenal performances, especially Cruise and Nicholson. I'm a Marine myself, and in know way do I see this movie as degrading to the Corps. It's a movie, not a documentary and is supposed to be entertaining, so for you fellow Devil Dogs out there who take offense to this movie; lighten up! The actors do an excellent job portraying Marines and obviously did their research. I highly recommend it! Semper Fi!!!

VERY POWERFUL FILM, THE COURT ROOM SCENES ARE EXCELLENT. CRUISE IS GOOD FOR A YOUNGER ACTOR AND JACK NICHOLSON IS CLASSIC.

I am a big fan of courtroom dramas and this one tops them all by including the military. If you enjoy shows like Law and Order, this is a must-see.

'A Few Good Men' is director Rob Reiner¿s high octane murder mystery set against the backdrop of betrayal and protocol inside a military base. It pits clean cut military defense attorney, Lt. Daniel Kaffie (Tom Cruise) against an unscrupulous military strategist, Col Nathan Jessup (Jack Nicholson). After a cadet is hazed to death, the soldiers responsible are brought to a military tribunal for justice. But did the soldiers in question act alone, or was there a more sinister motive behind their action. Demi Moore costars as defense co-council, Lt. Cmdr. JoAnne Galloway. She¿s unimpressed by Kaffie¿s devil-may-care attitude toward the case but also realizes that Kaffie¿s skills as a legal strategist are just what¿s required for an acquittal. The film essentially boils down to 2 parts Perry Mason, 1 part melodrama with tensions taut and running higher as the case reaches its climactic showdown. Even if ¿you can¿t handle the truth¿ you¿ll become completely engrossed in the finely wrought performances and magnificent pacing of the whole affair. Columbia's original bare bones DVD release of 'A Few Good Men' was a near pristine effort with bold, rich colors, exceptional contrast and shadow delineation, smooth deep and solid black levels and an amazing lack of edge enhancement and pixelization. This new collector¿s series DVD is a carbon copy of that transfer. There are a few forgivable exceptions. The original DVD contained nearly 60 chapter stops, an ample selection by any standard. On this DVD we get less than 30 chapters, presumably so that the extra added features could be squeezed onto the same side of the disc. Extras included several featurettes, theatrical trailers, audio commentaries and an isolated music track. All in all this is a nicely packaged DVD with nothing really to complain about. If any complaint can be lodged it is that Columbia ought to have provided consumers with a special edition from the start and forgo any plans to revisit this title as a remastered Superbit. The studio's theory behind multiple copies is pure profit.
