Overview

Flight of the Conchords - Season 2

Despite living as Big Apple bohemians for over a year, Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie ("New Zealand's 4th Most Popular Folk Parody Duo") remain as hopelessly out of place in Manhattan as a kiwi in a pigeon nest. Season 2 follows Bret and Jemaine as they resort to a variety of outrageous tactics in their continuing attempt to jump-start their lives and career -- from taking desperate measures to pay the bills, to dating an Australian (a taboo in New Zealnad). Will Bret and Jemaine ever find excitement, romance, and the elusive paying music gig? This set contains the 10 episodes of 2009's Season 2, along with deleted scenes, outtakes, a mini-documentary, mock commercials for Dave's Pawn Shop, and more -- including an Easter egg.

I really enjoyed this show. It's witty and funny, and most of the songs are very clever.

I love, love, LOVE this show. I personally enjoyed Season 1 more....but, must say "Love is the Weapon of Choice" was hilarious. Despite having seen each episode on TV already, I will definitely be buying this season of FOTC on DVD as well. It's always so fun to come back to and watch again.

FoTC season 2 picks up the story from season 1. This is an off-beat comedy that takes a a couple of episodes for a viewer to appreciate. The main characters are struggling musicians (illegal aliens) from New Zealand. I found the songs in season 1 to be funnier and more memorable (The Humans are Dead, Most beautiful girl in ... the room, etc.) However, season 2 is even funnier than season 1 as FoTC spreads it's humor more evenly over the ensemble cast that includes their female groupy / super fan(atic)/obsessed...stalking Mel, and their delusional part-time manager Murray. FoTC has put New Zealand on the map!
