Fans of the schlockier side of martial arts filmmaking are likely to find Mondo Macabro's double-feature disc of For Your Height Only and Challenge of the Tiger to be a trashy delight. For Your Height Only utilizes the only available elements (namely, an old video master) so the resulting full-frame transfer isn't reference-quality in terms of video or audio. That said, Mondo Macabro did a commendable job of cleaning it up for digital presentation and it's never less than watchable. Challenge of the Tiger, on the other hand, offers a strong, anamorphically enhanced transfer that looks quite impressive for an old, low-budget quickie. Stereo mixes are included for both films; neither will blow your speakers out, but they both sound decent. The disc is rounded out by some informative biographical text essays on Bruce Le, Richard Harrison, and the relationship between producer Dick Randall and Weng Weng. There's also a humorous appreciation of Weng Weng's work that is likely to appeal to For Your Height Only's small but devoted cult. All in all, this double-feature disc offers solid value for fans of eccentric cult fare.
