This movie is suprisingly witty, darkly funny, and actually disturbing. In the spirit of AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON, this movie is one of the few of the werewolf genre that actually delivers. A must see for any true horror movie buff!

Ginger Snaps is a fantastic movie. It starts out a little morbid, but that only goes to enhance the film overall. The characters are very well played, especially Pam. It's funny, sad, and scary, which makes it more unique than most horror/thriller films. This is one of the only films that stunned me so much, I had to just sit there and watch the credits. The musical score is great also, perfect for the movie. Ginger Snaps is highly recommended to anyone wanting to see a good horror/thriller movie. It's a shame it didn't get a wider release.

Great gory movie with a hint a comedy. I just had to have it. Very scary witty movie, somewhat of a dark comedy/horror. This is one of my favorite movies.

After over 20 years since the last awesome werewolf movie was released, (An American Werewolf In London), we have something to compare it to. This movie was a wonderful surprise. Begining with it's witty title, then slowly taking us through her day by day transition until the next full moon, (which makes you imagine how it would really be), building up to the climax of the fully transformed werewolf- which was by far the best looking since A.A.W.I.L. Ending with leaving us feelig the same sadness and doom as we felt for David Kessler and Nurse Price. Tense, funny and sad and keeping us wondering and HOPING for a sequel that can match up. After all, isn't the 'Vampire Movie' card about played out and time for the revival of the Werewolf thrillers?

I watched this after seeing the prequel and understood some stuff like how they got those weird tooth from animal looking necklaces around their necks including the pact/promise they made to each other of together forever. This movie was pretty good and the werewolves were scary especially the part where Ginger gets bitten more than once and slowly starts to develop some side effects after the horrible experince. Then its up to her younger sister Brigette and her 'friend' to help Ginger find an andidote before its too late.

Okay so first off I like the movie.....I like the part where in the beginning of the movie as the movie is rolling in the credits....as a viewer you start to see blood...as the girls made a movie for a class project...you see them in weird odd places that represent death.....you start to get a feel of sisterly bonding...then as the movie goes about the transformation of the sister becoming a werewolf and how the other sister tries not to lose her sister...this movie is great...i love the them song to it and i recommend other people to watch it!

In the film, you follow sisters Brigitte and Ginger. One night, Ginger is attacked by an wolf-like creature and slowly, she begins to show animalistic behaviors and features...such as a tail and fur. Now, the two are trying to find a way to save her before she turns into one of them and loses her human mind forever.

Now, I can't say this is the best movie I've ever seen but I did enjoy it. It's definitely a B-movie and many people will probably be tempted to just put it back on the shelf and walk away but it really is worth watching. The graphics for the werewolves and even for the dead things you'll see in this movie aren't exactly top notch but they're not plain out awful.
Of course, like in any horror-genre movie, you'll see things that you'll probably chuckle at and roll your eyes, since it's so "believable." One moment that comes to mind...someone gets attacked and basically bleed probably 3 bodies worth of blood, yet when they're seen again, they're still alive! Yep. That stuff. Now don't let that steer you away from the movie because it's not that. I'm simply saying it does have its shares of those moments.

Then you have the parts that are just flat out creepy to watch, such as the photography the two girls use for school. They're photos of death, each one being of one of them having been killed by something. And it looks a little too realistic. Can we say creepy?

The plot is basic, yes. About the same as any other werewolf movie you might expect. But there's something about this one that makes it stand out. It's truly a good movie. Some may find it stupid but I honestly think most will find it to be mediocre to great, somewhere in between.

Here you have a movie that's:
- Heavy on gore
- Pretty good on character development
- Generic on plot (nothing that goes Wow!)
- Fair on the creepy-ness

Despite the downsides, I do recommend this movie. It's fresh for the werewolf topic that's been beaten like a dead horse and it really seems to bring something new to the table. Don't pass it up. It really is a good horror flick that many seem to overlook.

The old full moon could've fooled me before I saw this movie. 'Ginger Snaps' has a whole theory, feel, and meaning of it's own. Throwing away the old wise tales of werewolves and twisting them in with the true magic of nature it definitely made top charts on my favorite movies list. The sisters will charm you in a demented way until you find yourself drawn to them, and rooting for them through the good and bad. A total shocker for those unprepared and a wonderful horror flick to turn heads of your movie-night-aquaitences.

I really have to say that this has got to be the best teen horror since Carrie. This is a more clever horror movie than any of the horrors of the time of this release. This is a horror that depicts teenage angst, awkwardness, and what no other horror movie has dared to do, go into the topic of the female body and functions. It's a clever and very witty film of teenage life and it's not only a bloodfest without meaning, this actually shows what teenagers have to go through and the anxiety that they feel and how insecure they are, just like Carrie so perfected. Take away Carrie's telekinesis and add a little werewolf, and this is what you get.

I love this movie. Canada really impressed me here, usually you don't see great horror movies from Canada. But this was outstanding. You must see this flick

This Movie is special for a lot of reasons. i have to begin with the fact that it is one of the first horror movies In a very long to evoke the Body Horror of the 80s. After a long string of annoying Teen Slasher films, we are finally treated to a lovely monster film with purpose. By Body Horror, i am refering to the various transformation/ virus horror films of the 70s and 80s. The things that frighten us are the changes in our bodies and minds. The Original Cat People was one of the first films to do this, and Ginger snaps evokes images of that film in such a beautiful way. beyond That, Ginger snaps is also one of the funniest horror movies made in a while. i always thought that horror and comedy work very well together. The Comedy only Reinforces the horror. I highly recommend it.
