God's Army was a wonderful movie about a missionary from the LDS church. Richard Dutcher is a wonderful Director and not to mention actor and writer. It's nice to find a movie with and actual story line. It was a new look at movies without all of the language and such.

''God's Army'' was a surprisingly rich film and unashamedly brought to life a subject that many producers will not trifle with --faith in God. To those curious about Mormons, or more correctly, those members of the ''Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints'', this film accurately represented a ''day in the life'' of the young Elders and Sisters who give of their own time and resources, pounding the pavement in search of the one who will listen to their message of Christ. I found the show not only enlightening but very entertaining. The real-life situations which young missionaries face are often filled with irony and humor as well as sobering adversity. Although missionary service is completely voluntary, there are still some who may find themselves either unprepared or even doubting their faith. This show is not sugarcoated to cover any incongruities in missionary service but rather the faith filled struggle for the soul when facing their own insecurities, shortcomings and even mortality. The score was also outstanding and added well to the screenplay and character representations. Our whole family laughed, cried and cheered as we watched the foibles, triumphs and deep heartaches these young men and women experienced and felt our lives were better for having watched it. This was a video well worth the investment!

This video really helps to portray what mormons are all about. I'd recommend it

This is a great movie and portrays Mormons as we truely are, not as a joke or cult. This is a real life story of struggles, challenges, and triumphs.

First, the movie was NOT distributed by the Mormon Church.

This movie is real. Not just for entertainment. You get so caught up in what's happening (including the cliche scenes) that you forget you're watching a movie. This is one of those movies where applause breaks out in the theater at the end (everyone has to blow their noses and put away their hankies first, though).

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie! Since this movie wasn't put out by the LDS church it shows Latter Day Saints as they really are! It's a beautiful touching movie that doesn't sugar coat a thing! I reccomend it to all Mormons and non-Mormons alike! No matter what your faith you will be inspired by this movie.
