Half moon is a movie about the basic human need to be free. A nation known as kurds has been deprived of this God given gift to human race. Unfortunately, as a result of historical conspiracy the kurds were subjugated and divided in the aftermath of the first world war. The kurd ever since has been deprived of the most basic human rights in allthe states that are occupying kurdistan and subjected to all kinds of harrasement, torture and annilation. The movie symbloizes the desire of mamo a legendary kurdish musician to perform at his last concert in Hawler, south kurdistan to serve the kurdish arts.

The kurdish people will continue their struggle until they break the chain of the subjugation and set kurdstan eagle free flying very high in the kurdish sky.
