Halloween: Resurrection

Halloween: Resurrection is presented beautifully in super-clear 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen with crystal-clear English 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround that makes the great soundtrack pop. Also included are French 5.1 Surround, English captions and subtitles, and Spanish subtitles. Buena Vista jammed the disc with hoards of goodies that promise to keep viewers entertained for hours. Nothing too earth-shattering is present, but plenty of "film fluff" to satisfy the cinema sweet tooth. To start, there are nearly ten minutes of deleted scenes and three alternate endings presented in 2.35:1 non-anamorphic widescreen with optional commentary. Three schmaltzy featurettes and a stills gallery are provided. The "WebCam Special," a 40-minute film sequence of the Myers house, is a must-see. Lastly, there's a rather dull screen-specific audio commentary with director Rick Rosenthal and editor Robert Ferretti.

The beginning was good where sadly it was the character Laurie's last appearance. But I thought maybe it would fit better near the end, instead of yet another cliffhanger. Question though, where's John, Laurie's son? Wasn't Michael going to go after him too? The story is Michael goes back home but finds people there who are exploring the house and etc. I'm hoping for a Halloween 9 where it should end the series, having bring back the old characters while introducing a new character as well. Maybe it's just me? There's the remake and its sequel...not seeing that. Just watch the original and the sequels...ignore part 3...Happy Halloween!

I think that this is a very good installment in the series. It was awful to see Laurie meet her demise, I loved her character but I think that it was a smart move because the story of her character was played out so well in all films that featured her and it was a great way to see her leave the series. She started off as a shy, but smart school bookworm that had faced evil straight in the eye. In ''H20'' they gave her her character a poetic edge to it. Laurie Strode was a woman who had been dead for years after the original movie (emotionally of course!) In ''H20'' she was forced to face her fears and in doing so she saved her soul. That was something that was more important than saving her life. And in the events that followed ''H20'' the writers really managed to stick to the elements of who she was. In the opening sequence, which you have to admit was the most nail-biting part of the movie Laurie lets Michael know that she is not afraid of him any more. It was imortant that they included that in the movie, especailly since killing her character off, because it lets the audience know that her death was not in vein, and Michael had lost. Even though she died physically, her spirit would go on. That is something that Michael cannot take away! I give this movie such a high rating because of those very elements and because the opening had everything I was looking forward to, a good scare and great suspence. I liked the movements of the shape in this one and the music had really good classic feel to it. Everything about this movie was good to me, but Busta Rhymes' character really ruined some of the mood for me later in the movie so that is the only thing preventing me from giving a perfect score. This is my 4th favorite in the series and the other 3 being 1,4&2. I loved ''H20'' but taking the story out of Haddonfield was very disappointing, plus all the music samples taken from ''Scream'' was even worse, but definately a great story. I would definately recommend this film. Another thing I have to suggest is I find that with horror movies today they add to much humor to the movie which kind of ruins the mood for me as well, it worked brilliantly in ''Scream'' but ''Halloween'' in my opinion is much more effective when there are no wisecarcks and cheeesy one liners. Michael Myers is supposed to represent evil personified, and an audience can really lose that creepy effect when they add that kind of humor. Also, not meaning to be picky, but I would really like to see them manage to tie all the series up once again, I know that they made ''H20'' disregaurding events from parts 4-6 but, I would like to see them connect them once again. I think the reason they did this is because after the whole curse of ''Thorn'' they series became so confusing and they really wanted to stick to a simplistic story line when Jaime Lee Curtis returned. They could easily tie up all these events and make it clear that it was just a thory that Michael Myers was inflicted with the curse and then disregaurd that. Anyway, that is my review of ''Halloween: Resurrection''! I hope to see a part 9. I'll never get tired of this series simply because it was one that I grew up with and have always enjoyed. I heard that the man who wrote part 4, Alan B. McElroy, will be writing the next installment. It may just be a rumor but I would love if he returned because he really stuck to the basics of the original movie which was very simplistic.

I've just seen the new halloween movie and i thought it was cool. For the one's who didn't like it, sequels are not supposed to be like the first movie. the opening sequence was hard to watch for odvious reasons. But there comes a time where the hero or heroine loses the battle. the rest of the movie brings fresh blood to the series. sometimes you get sick of watching the same people over and over. Getting new characters and a new survivor makes it more interesting. watching michael crush the skull of one of his victims is every halloween fans joy. some people wonder why michael killed all those people since they are not relatives. well in the first movie michael killed people who weren't family members. a true halloween fan would have faith in the series and not critisize it. the idea of the film is unique. it is something we haven't seen in a halloween film. donald pleasence the man who played Dr.Lomis said that the series would end on its 22nd sequel. maybe they will bring back laurie. sara moyer the girl who suvived the encounter with michael, they'll probably make her another relative or a revative of lomis. for those of you who don't know why michael is like this, i know the truth, but only time will tell and another sequel to reveal it.

Ressurection was a good film. I liked how they put the blair witch camera style in there. They had great lines and story. I heard number 9 is supposed to have the son in it.

I give this movie 5 stars! This movie was the greatest of the whole series. I love how the series has evolved over the years since 1978. I was not around to see the first movie, but I have seen it on video, and it is great! I also believe that it was wrong to kill off Jamie Lee Curtis, but O well. I believe that in Halloween 9 she will come back and kill Michael for good. This will be a good publicity stunt for the series if they bring her back, so that is why I think that they killed her. So she will be back in the next movie if all goes well and our wishes are granted. But, anyway, Halloween: Resurrection was the greatest horror movie I have ever seen!

I think Micheal Meyers is the best horror move there ever will be.

the 8th installment in the halloween movies this is the best one yet in my opinon masked serial killer michael myers returns to finaly kill his sister laurie stode (jamie lee curtis) when a new tv reality show comes to town michael gets 6 new victims freddie harris (busta rhymes)nora(tyra banks)jen(katee sackoff)rudy(sean patrick thomas)jim(luke kirby)and donna(daisy mckrackin) as they have to stay in michaels house for one night and search for clues as to why michael went bad

i thought halloween:resurrection was an awesome and very suprising movie. i've heard some people say that killing off jamie lee curtis was wrong. in my opinion though,i think it makes sense, because jamie lee curtis is getting old, and she's probably tired of doing these movies. anyway, i think eventually, someone will make a sequel. and if they do, i bet bianca kajlich will turn out to be related to michael myers.

This was bad for Some Reasons Number 1. They made up a dumb way for Michael to Come Back Number 2.They Kill off Laurie Strode at the beginning Number 3. This movie was like a Jason flick Michael just kills countless teenagers in his house Number 4.They add Busta Rymes for comic relief using his So - Called Karate. . . Dont Bother This is the worst Halloween with Michael Myers

I was very disappointed with this film I think that it was the worst in the halloween series I have ever seen. The Halloween series should have ended with Halloween H2O when Jamie Lee Curtis chopped of Michael Myers Head, I mean come on if you were not really Michael wouldn't you say 'STOP, don't chop my head off'? or something like that? And another thing Halloween Resurection doesn't even have anything to do with what the whole concept of the previous halloween films were about. I would not recommened this film for anyone in my opinion Halloween should have ended with H2O.

I want to thank this movie, it really helped me fall asleep. I mean Hello I love this movie but it is so not scary. The other movies in this series were MUCH better. Recommended just for fun, not to be shocked and scared!

well i am truly a michael myers fan and i thought the movie was great except that they killed off laurie strode which pretty much ruined the whole halloween plot and like another person said earlier that how come the teenagers are so stupid i mean they should call the police and in halloween ressurrection why the heck did it take the police so friggen long to get to the myers house and if there was trouble the police would be there in a heart beat but in this movie it took the police really long to get there but they SHOULD keep the michael myers films going because i really enjoy watching these films

I liked this movie. You can't say that you didn't either. Great actors, great plot, and great special effects. The only thing I can't get past is how suddenly Micheal Myers' knife is turned into a sharpened machete. The movie is nothing compared to the first one, but if you like a good scare, you'll like this. It was sad to see Laurie Strode die in the first part. I at least think they should have kept her for a couple of the next films. I don't know how Myers found Laurie at the Correctional facility. Some things stick out in the film that are really funny. I can't remember the last Halloween movie that had good humor. I think you'd better rent this before you buy it

we all know jason kills 24/7... freddy in dreams.... wtf does myers do the rest of the year.... does he hibernate???? no but really the movie was a waste of time..... i didnt see it but hear HORRIBLE stories... much like house fo wax i think the only part was my fantasies coming true if only in fake blood when tyra and paris got killed...... only in my dreams.......

I Think Alomst All Horror Movies Dont Make Sense Expesially The Friday The 13th Series But Halloween Reserrection Broke All the Rules Which Most Movies Dont Do. You Can Not Kill Of The Soul Survivor Its Just Not What Happens. But In This Movie wether You Like It Or Not It Happens And It Makes It All The More intersesting, It's A Great Movie And Yes You Should Buy It. Halloween 9 & 10 Are Already Going Into Production.

This movie had a great storyline except for them leaving Lauries son out of it. This was a dissapointment, with all the one liners, they began making Michael Myers into a joke. If you like comedy with a little suspence this is for you, but if you're like me and like old school horror like the original, this is nice if you just want it to add to your collection.

I love this movie, but it is sad that Laura Strode died in the movie!

I think this horror movie was great. There are people out there that say Michel is killing people for no reason well i guess that don't know these movies then. Michel is killing people because he was little a man was in his dreams and kept telling him to kill his family. He was also born in a place where the support evil. The symol on his arm means evil, and now evil has got him.

I wrote a review and messed up with teh titles. So maybe void when I said I hated ''Curse of Micheal Meyers'' I meant he season of the witch! It had nothing to do with Meyers. But H20 was really good!!

Cannot and will not believe that Laurie Strode is dead not this time. Just when things were getting good at least John Carpenter is keeping with the times of today. Computers and the internet way to go. Also showing that people of today will kisck back. :-)

i didn't really like this one. it's just not the same halloween that i like, if you understand what that means, it's different. whats up with that? the people in michael myers's hose doing an internet thing! that's pathhetic. couldn't they have came up with something better? this one is the worst halloween movie out of them all.

This movie was not the best one I've ever seen but it was sure better then some other "scary" movies. There was great music to keep the suspense going but, I'm not sure I believed that the guy went 16 years without talking and that she killed him but he coomes back to life. However, there were some great parts during it so, I would watch it if I were you.
