Iggy Pop was 52 years old when he took the stage at the Ancienne Belgique Theatre in Brussels for the concert documented on this DVD, but you wouldn't guess that from the strength and fury of his performance, and while this disc doesn't offer much in the way of extras, the show on tap is one fans will doubtless enjoy. Iggy Pop: Live at the Avenue B has been transferred to disc in letterboxed format at the widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1, while the audio has been mastered in three formats -- Dolby Digital Stereo, Dolby Digital 5.1, and DTS Surround. The quality of the image and audio is excellent, with the camera crew doing a fine job of capturing Iggy in his element, while the loud and well-detailed sound mix merits being pumped through a good sound system. There are no subtitles, language options, or bonus features, but this disc does capture one of rock's great wild talents on a good night, and that alone makes it worth a look.
