Investigative Reports: ER - The Real Drama

This documentary, part of the Investigative Reports cable television series on the A&E network, takes the viewer on a behind-the-scenes, real-life look at an inner city emergency room. The episode, narrated by Investigative Reports host and producer Bill Kurtis, explores the medical drama of King County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, where gunshots, stabbings, and drug overdoses are daily occurrences. There is a look at the large occurrence of mentally unstable people and gang members who cause havoc inside the emergency room. The program also investigates how these threats of potential violence alter the care that is administered. In this video, you will hear from some of the people who work in this emergency room, some of the people who are treated there, and some of the security officers who are hired to protect the doctors and the patients. ~ Cecilia Cygnar
