Overview

It Takes Two

The first film to star Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, It Takes Two comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. Subtitles are accessible in both of those languages as well. Supplemental materials include a theatrical trailer. This is a decent release from Warner Bros. that is sure to please Olsen fans, but there is little here to interest the average DVD consumer.

Really cute movie. Lots of twists and turns, and great for family movies. Twist involve two girls that look alike and switch places. Cute family interchanges and a great ending.

Orphan Amanda has no home and no family, she lives in an orphanage. Alyssa is the daughter of the rich Roger Callaway who is about to marry an evil stepmother. When Amanda and Alyssa meet, at the woods between Camp Callaway and Roger Callaway's summer house they deicide it would be fun to switch places! They both have a great deal of fun and no-one realises. They soon realise orphan counseller Diane would be the perfect match for Roger Callway.

When two girls, one an orphan looking for a home, and the other a wealthy girl about to get an evil stepmother, meet in the woods, the trouble begins. The two decide to switch places for a night. Soon the too girls realize just how much they enjoy each other's company. Deciding that the wealthy father and the attractive caseworker would be perfect for each other, the two girls set put a trap to hopefully get the two of them to fall in love. The orphan girl's main hopes of getting the two adults to fall in love are so that a family whom she can't stand won't adopt her. This movie gives a glimpse into the lives of orphans. The character in the movie constantly refers to how hard life as an orphan can be, and how nice a family would be. It also portrays the fact that older children are harder to adopt, because most people would prefer to adopt an infant.
The movie takes off from there, and like a lot of children's movies, even through all of the twists and turns everything works out for the best. This movie follows a traditional plot line of a matchmaker movie, but it gives laughs and surprises around every corner. This movie will certainly be around to entertain the young and old generations for a long time to come.
