Often lost in the morass of inferior sequels, Jaws 2 is actually a fairly decent follow-up to Spielberg's masterpiece. Now viewers can take a look for themselves with this excellent DVD edition from Universal. The picture is presented in an exquisite widescreen anamorphic format with a 2.35:1 aspect ratio. The film retains the soft, postcard look of the first film, and this DVD helps it to shine. Sound is a bit of a letdown, presented in Dolby two-channel mono, but it still sounds pretty good nonetheless. Where the disc really takes off is with the extras. Viewers can enjoy a 45-minute documentary that goes into every detail about the making of the film. Also included is a look at the film from actor Keith Gordon, who has gone on to great things as a director. He talks about what he learned on the film and shares a few anecdotes. There are also four deleted scenes, a still gallery with storyboards and production photos, a collection of shark facts, and the usual trailers, production notes, and bios. While the other two sequels in the Jaws series may not receive similar treatment, the first two have both been given an excellent presentation on DVD and belong in any fan's library.

While Jaws III & IV completely suck, Jaws II is one of the best sequels of all time. The original focused on a menacing shark impacting the lives of three men while Jaws II had the shark's presence affecting the whole town of Amitty. The best scene in Jaws II was when the great white attacks a Coast Guard helicopter.

Jaws 2 is the best movie i`ve seen. It is about a menacing great white. This movie is spicificly focused on a few teenagers that want to go and take a ride to the lighthouse they find a manacing suprise...

The sequel to jaws is a fascinating one. First, it's two divers, then, a sexy water skier, then, a whole group of teenagers. Who will win, the terrifying, destructive, great white shark, or Cheif non-lying Brody and his plan to kill the shark once and for all? Come see in the blood thirsty sequel, JAWS 2.

Good sound score, sucky action, bad anding, and jaws has a facelift relating to 2-face from batman. the end just lacks the big firecracker ending, if you want to know, the shark gets electricuted.

Jaws 2 was decent movie. Okay so its not as good as Jaws that movie was the apex of monster films. How could this hope to be better?? Good action scenes and Roy Scheider does another great job as Chief Brody. Try it.
