Years ago I was away from my wife, and the only show that was on at the time was this show. Unable to get anything else, I sat down and watched it. Now years later, I have the movie that at one point in time I would never have watched, but now am so thankful that I did. To this date, about three years later, while at B&N, I got this movie. That's how much of an impression this show made upon my life. As you can guess, I not only watched it,but my wife watched it with me as well. It brought laughter to our hearts, tears to our eyes, and engulfed us into a story that neither of us will ever forget. We hope you will watch it..You will not regret it in the least.

Where was the press on this movie? I am ashamed to admit that I went so long without seeing it. By far, it is probably the best movie I have seen all year. As usual, Kevin Smith does it again with writing that hits home and comedy in the right places. I've watched him through the years and am always impressed with his work, but this time he outdid himself, brilliantly directing this cast of heavy hitters. This is a MUST SEE!!!!

I must admit, I was a skeptic. I appreciate movies by Kevin Smith, but Affleck I wasn't so sure of. This movie was great. I watched it again. It did make me cry. I thought Affleck gave a fine performance as the dad and son, and friend of Maya. Carlin was great as the dad as were the guys who played his friends - nice touch. What a nice surprise. Resounding impression. Movie Fan

Departing from his usual comic farce, director Kevin Smith brings us a tale of lost love and lost opportunities. While "Beniffer" is billed as the star, the real good performances come from Raquel Castro as his daughter, Liv Tyler as his love interest, and George Carlin as his father. Kudos also to character actors Mike Starr and Stephen Root as his dad's best friends. Carlin gives his best performance in a Smith movie since "Cardinal Glick" in Dogma. Affleck, however, seems to be forcibly giving his lines. Maybe it's just me, but he emotes like a man who has an impacted bowel. It's really sad since he gave such good performances in "Dogma", "Chasing Amy", and "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back". Still, it's not a total loss.
