Kundo is based on a real uprising against the corrupt ruling class in 19th-century Korea. It would have been an excellent movie if it had been a bit shorter, leading to tighter storyline, and eliminated the narrator, which interfered with the flow. Despite the stellar cast, consisting of established and rising stars in the Korean cinema, I felt the movie fell a little short of the mark.
