For those faithful to the final publication of Lady Chatterley's Lover now available, you'll find this adaptation slightly different, but no less enjoyable. I believe it faithful to what DH Lawrence must have intended when writing the book and believe the film makers honored the book well. Superbly cast, Sean Bean and Joely Richardson do wonders with their parts, particularly Mr. Bean as he brought Mellors soaring off the screen. Some things that were disappointingly left out were backstory to Mellors and the Lady, including Mellors' experiences during the war and Constances previous dalliances with other men. Despite that, I highly recommend this one, while not completely faithful, a spirited adaptation.
