George P. Cosmatos' Alien knock-off Leviathan comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. Subtitles are available in both of these languages as well. Supplemental materials are limited to a trailer. This disc is good enough, and the list price low enough, to recommend to genre enthusiasts.

This movie is a ripoff of ALIEN and THE THING. It isn't bad though. Only the creativity could be improved.
