The life and times of rock and roll legend Little Richard Penniman are explored in the made-for-TV biopic Little Richard. The film is presented in a passable 1.33:1 full frame transfer that sports solid colors and dark black levels. While a few inherent flaws plague this image (including some dirt in the image and a sometimes softness in the colors), overall this is a decent looking transfer of the film. The soundtrack is presented in a disappointing Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround soundtrack in English. Though the effects, music and dialogue are all free and clear of most all distortion and hiss, fans certainly would have been thrilled with a Dolby Digital 5.1 remix to compliment the rollicking songs featured in the film. No alternate soundtracks or subtitles are included on this disc. Little Richard fans will surely be singing the blues when they find out that this DVD features not a single solitary extra feature, making Little Richard a bare bones disc.
