After suffering the humiliation of being given the third degree by his girlfriend's father, one man now faces the even more embarrassing task of introducing his own mother and father in this star-studded sequel to the box-office smash Meet the Parents. After getting off on the wrong foot (to put it mildly) with his prospective in-laws, Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) has finally won the grudging approval of Jack and Dina Byrnes (Robert De Niro and Blythe Danner) to marry their daughter Pam (Teri Polo). But after clearing the first hurdle, now Greg has to face an even bigger challenge -- introducing the straight-laced Byrnes family to his folks, free-spirited sex therapist Roz (Barbra Streisand) and eccentrically open-minded Bernie, who blend with Pam's parents not quite as well as oil and water. Meet the Fockers was directed by Jay Roach, who handled the same chores for Meet the Parents.

I felt this movie was too rushed. I mean how many movies have you seen Ben Stiller in lately where he's pretty much the same character. I dont think Robert Deniro did a good job this time as the CIA father in law. Dustin Hoffman was the only actor that put any effort into their character. The rest of the actors just blew. The extended version was also anoyying because it would pause the regular movie and if you had full screen version the extended clips would only appear in wide screen version and was of grainy quality. Bottom line dont buy this rent it.

This sequel to the original has nowhere near the amount of genuine laughs. Where the first one had stuff one could connect to, this one had its work cut out for it with people who just spit out anything that gets laughs. The reason the first one worked so well was due to a character we sympathized with going into an unknown world, but this one gives us a stern character we laughed at in the original, but now come to dispise. Overall, the laughes are fabricated and you never feel that any of them are genuine. It goes way out of bounds when it comes to the question of whether or not Greg has a son. Not very good, but good enough to be popular.

I saw this in theaters, with my friends and my family. The movie was so funny, much better than the first. The Fockers are funny, and the personalities are perfect. I was cracking up so many times watching this movie. I recommend it to anybody who enjoyed the first movie
