I love all of Michael's productions, and this is the best one yet! I actually went to see the show with my dance group in Everett, WA this fall. I must say it was much better to see it in person, but the DVD is still great. It also includes "Tiger Feet"- a behind the scenes type of extra. They interview the dancers and of course Michael. It's great!

I think this is the best movie Michael Flatley has ever done. Celtic Tiger is the best movie I have ever seen. Celtic Tiger has amazing special effects and outstanding costumes, music, and dancing.

Mike starts out strong with a full stage of clogging in Roman garb, and then the show adds traditional Celtic dance (sans cloggs) with images of Ireland, Northern UK...very beautiful. What happens next can only be described by the phrase: "What the hell?" The show's first half of the show has some sort of political agenda. My intrepetation is that Mike is showing the influence of Celtic dance throughout history. Think 'Streets of New York', or 'West Side Story', but replace all ethnic backgrounds with Irish. I did cheer when the Pan-American pseudo-striptease hit the stage, (still acceptable for children's eyes). The second half of the performance lacked the clear agenda, as the various performances swung left then right in both culture and imagery. You ever hear of "Jazz-flute"? Mike has his own "Rock-Flute" (or irish recorder for those who are detail people)...You MUST watch his eyes, he is either trying to cry, or he is passing a stone through his GI tract. EXCELLENT over acting. He also didn't say a word!I've heard mimes talk more...disappointing. I found the whole performance entertaining, but I have no idea what he was trying to communicate.
