My husband and I are totally addicted to this series... we were hooked at set #1, and have totally enjoyed every one. The characters are believable, the bloodshed minimal, just enough humor for a laugh or two per episode, and the English villages are enchanting. The change of lead actors is seamless... totally enjoyable, I highly recommend it for light mystery fans.

Even with the change in Barnabys this series has remained as wonderful as ever!

I AM MIDSOMER MURDERS #1 FAN. I HAVE ALL OF THEM AND I AM ALWAYS HAPPY TO SEE THE NEXT ONE BECOME AVAILABLE. THE NEW ONES WITH NEIL DUDGEON AS DCI JOHN BARNABY ARE WONDERFULL MODERN STORIES. THE ENGLISH COUNTRY SIDE GETS MORE BEAUTIFUL ALL THE TIME. I THINK I USE THE SERIES AS A WAY TO GO THERE. ALSO ENJOY THE SPECIAL FEATURES. JLWAGONER

We have the entire collection and continue to enjoy them over and over. The change in Barnaby's was hard to get used to but it is getting better............a must if you like British mysteries......

I love this series and it's still good without John Nettles, but I miss him and the family. Their cases are fun to solve along with the detectives.
