This exhaustive, six-hour documentary chronicles the history of Britain's Monty Python's Flying Circus and its members, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin, and the late Graham Chapman. Directed by Alan Parker, the film explores the troupe's roots -- from childhood experiences, schooling, and college life, to the birth of the comedy troupe in the '60s. The film also looks at how the troupe influenced other comedians, and features interviews with Steve Martin, Jimmy Fallon, Hugh Grant, Rowan Atkinson, Eddie Izzard, Tim Roth, Seth Green, Joan Rivers, and others. The documentary originally screened in cinemas in the UK, and aired on cable channel IFC in October, 2009.
