Ok i just turned 12 and i am amazingly in love with this movie the first time i saw it was in first grade ofcourse i didnt understand it or anything but i am in love with this movie me and my friend everytime i go to her house we watch it and i go over like every weekend. We both are good at singing and she is an alto and sings christian's lyrics and i sing satin's lyrics. We sound really good too we kno every word and it is so much fun when we were in fourth grade we were in her parents bedroom and the have a really high big bed with like poles for a canopy(no i dont mean that kinda pole) and we were like singing on the bed like we were on Satin's roof and it was so much fun. This movie may get confusing at points but its amazing and i love it!

WOW this movie has it ALL. The cast is incredible! I never knew Nicole Kidman OR Ewan McGregor could sing, and wow can they sing! Girls love this movie, guys love this movie, everyone loves this movie!! Its about this woman who wants to become a star and she thinks the way to do that is to marry a duke. Or should we say a penniless writer who she mistakes for a duke. From there is all about their love. The music is perfect, absolutely perfect. The costumes are eye catching. the plot was so intriguing! I must warn you though. The costumes, the colors, the whole movie might be a little too much to handle for some people at first. But after a little while you get used to how the movie is and you'll love it!

Having seen this film before the Blu-Ray makes the home experience even better. It is still cutting edge with perfect casting. I recommend it just as a fim not only as a musical.

some nitpicky think this movie is horrible because of a: the lack of french (since it is placed in france) b: lack of french accent c: lack of lyrics sung in french. but yet none of these apply to me. i though this movie was amazing and ewan mcgregor has an awsome voice... now he just needs to go solo!!!! lol. seriously though.... o_0

Moulin Rouge is an excellent musical with miscellaneous songs. The enthusiasm of the sing alongable songs with the great choreogrophy, enspires me to get up and dance. The true meaning of the love story, to me, is that love can over come all obsticals, even in a life or death situation.

Like many others who have seen this magnificent spectacle, I believe that Moulin Rouge is one of the greatest movies. It is certainly my favorite. I've watched it 11 times and still can't get enough. Every time I watch this movie I see and hear so many more beautiful details. Baz is an excellent writer and director and I don't care, but Moulin Rouge should have easily won the oscar for best picture. Ewan McGregor is a god. He's one handsome studster I say, with one of the best male voices I've ever heard. He is now my favorite actor and I can't wait to see him in anything else. Nicole Kidman and the rest of the cast were amazing as well. Singing out of this world, and dancing and acting through a delightful story about ''Truth, Beauty, Freedom, and of all things Love!'' Please see this movie. I gurantee you will feel it is a movie that will last forever!!!

Ewan and Nicole have wonderful voices. Their movements, their inflections, the use of modern music...what a gift Baz has given us. Even though this film is a little bawdy, it is truly a great musical and sucessfully reaches Baz's point of incorporating music into the drama and not just having people stop and sign

This movie can can be a surprise. At first I was stunned that I purchased such a movie. But the 2nd time around it grows on you. Plus even the kids liked it--the music and dancing. So it is worth buying and watching many times. (rentingit once will not do the trick).

Moulin Rouge takes you where no movie, much less musical, has gone before. It's a non-stop thrill ride. You'll definately find yourself talking about this movie over and over again. For the actors, this movie showcases talents unseen in any previous film. BE PREPARED, this film will overwhelm your senses for the first ten minutes. But, like any spicy food you'll quickly adapt and crave more.

This movie was SO excellent, I felt like I was reading a really good book as I watched it. The music only adds to the excitement. And the fact that it was really Ewan and Nicole's voice mad everything better. I haven't seen a really good movie in a long time, but after this movie I dont think I need to!

I have watched this movie literally dozens of times, and each time there is something new that jumps out... Jim Broadbent's rendition of 'The Show Must Go On,' performed with Nicole Kidman, is show-stopping, just as his rendition of 'Like a Virgin' is hilarious. My all-time favorite scene, though, is the 'Moulin Rouge Tango,' performed to 'Roxanne'. Both the choreography and the editing are classic; it is possibly the finest dance sequence ever filmed. What is even better, is that the DVD contains an extended version, where you can see a wider camera angle of the dance. It is truly spectacular. Bravo to the creative genius of Baz Luhrmann and the amazingly talented (and courageous) cast.
