Three years before his turn as a footloose photographer of gorgeous models in The Bob Cummings Show, comedic actor Bob Cummings toplined another situation comedy. My Hero ran for one season, from November 1952 through August 1953 on NBC. In this program, Bob's role was much less glamorous; he starred as Robert S. Beanblossom, a real estate salesman for the Thackeray Realty Company whose blundering haplessness didn't prevent him from repeatedly closing deals. Also on hand was his loyal secretary, Julie Marshall (Julie Bishop), who did much to enable Beanblossom's success and protect him from the boss, Willis Thackeray (John Litel). This box set contains four My Hero Episodes as they originally aired on television: Lacy Mortician, El Toro, The Catering Story and The Fishing Story.
