As well known for its Disney-esque, family-friendly tone as for its overwhelming number of permutations and cast changes in its period on the air, My Three Sons retained a broad and loyal audience following from its September 29, 1960 debut on ABC through the final CBS bow on August 24, 1972. (The network shift took place at the beginning of the 1965 season). This release constitutes volume one of the program, or the first half of the 1961-2 season on ABC.
