If you need it built, they will come. Bob and his crew of shiny, happy machines embark on a new slate of projects in this collection of five stories from Bob the Builder's groundbreaking "Project: Build It" extension, in which Bob and company develop Sunflower Valley as an eco-friendly community. New to the Crew are Sumsy the forklift, who can "pack 'em and stack 'em"; Scrambler, an extreme all-terrain vehicle, who needs to slow down; "Bashing Crashing Benny," a robo-digger; and Packer, a delivery truck, who is so excited about his first day on the job that he can't concentrate on the work at hand. Viewers get an object lesson in how to reduce, re-use, and recycle in the story "Sumsy's Willow Tree," in which a toppled tree provides the raw material for a fence, a ladder and a new shed. Longtime viewers may be momentarily confused by different voices coming out of familiar characters, most notably, Spud the scarecrow. While other long-running children's series slack off, it's nice to know that Bob the Builder is still on the job, teaching valuable lessons about teamwork, responsibility, and the rewards of hard work and a job well done.
