Something Weird Video has re-packaged two of their earlier releases of vintage nudie-cuties directed by Doris Wishman in this double-DVD set (with the two discs slapped into a single case with new cover artwork). Both Nude On The Moon and Blaze Starr Goes Nudist have been transferred to disc in their original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1, and they both look quite good; the Eastmancolor palate is bright and vivid, and captures the details of Wishman's often curious quite nicely. Both features are in English, with no multiple language options or subtitles. The audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Mono, and sounds surprisingly good given the vintage (and low budgets) of these two pictures. The Nude On The Moon disc features the film's original theatrical trailer, a bonus burlesque short (featuring a striptease on another planet), and a gallery of promotional artwork from Doris Wishman's films. Blaze Starr Goes Nudist, meanwhile, includes two bonus strip sequences of Ms. Starr from earlier burlesque reels, the film's original trailer, and the same exploitation gallery as featured on Nude On The Moon. Wishman fans who already own Something Weird's earlier DVD releases of these movies needn't bother buying them again in this package, but those who don't won't be let down by the quality of the discs, and the price is better than buying them individually.
