A DVD compilation of two Powerpuff Girls' VHS-video releases, "Birthday Bash" and "Dream Scheme, Powerpuff Girls: Down 'n' Dirty features some of the most celebrated episodes of the phenomenally popular Cartoon Network series. In "Birthday Bash, pint-sized heroines Bubbles, Blossom, and Buttercup do battle with the dastardly villains Mojo Jojo, Princess, and the Amoeba Boys while attending a birthday celebration for one of their kindergarten chums. "Beat Your Greens" contains an encounter with a breed of alien broccoli, while "Stuck Up, Up and Away" explains how Princess Morebucks, the girls' arch enemy, came into being. More villainous goings-on provide the subject matter for "School House Rocked" and "Los Dos Mojo, which provide a good lead-in to "Dream Scheme, in which the girls invade the dreams of the fanatical Sandman, who has put the entire world to sleep in order to grab some winks of his own. Yet more bad guys strut their stuff in "Just Another Manic Mojo, in which the girls incur the wrath of reclusive monkey Mojo Jojo, on whose castle grounds they trespass when they try to fetch a stray ball. "Down 'n' Dirty" sees Buttercup disgust even her enemies when she refuses to bathe, and Princess disgusts everyone when she gets Mojo Jojo to turn her into a Powerpuff Girl in "Mo Job." Also included in the compilation is "Courage of the Cowardly Dog, a bonus episode in which a dog's veggie-munching owner is menaced by a rogue eggplant. Additionally, an episode of the network's Sheep in the Big City rounds out the compilation.
