A group of teenagers find their lives intersecting and their futures taking shape as they prepare for the most pivotal event of their high school careers. At first Nova Prescott (Aimee Teegarden) is infuriated at a classmate (Thomas McDonell) who nearly destroys her plans for prom. But the closer the big day gets, the more she realizes that he may be the perfect date. Meanwhile, secretive seniors Tyler (De'Vaughn Nixon) and Mei (Yin Chang) wrestle with their consciences over how to make the most of their big night as the rest of their classmates attempt to reconcile their explosive anticipation with their growing uncertainty over how the dance will ultimately pan out.

A truly sparkled up, girly, overly romantic, chick-flick about Prom. I had waited to see this movie for quite a while now, and for some reason it did not live up to my expectations. Although it was sweet or funny is some parts, most of the movie was completely predictable - to tell you the truth you could probably get by with only watching the trailers of the movie. It had a pretty good story line, although I thought that trying to tell 4 different couples' stories about prom was interesting, it did not always seem to flow together like the typical movie does. I also thought it lacked music. Songs played every once in a while, but in some parts where you would think music should be it was lacking. Some other problems I had with this movie are that it was so focused on guy-girl relationships - not much else was going on. I didn't like how a sophomore proclaimed his LOVE for another was a bit awkward and cheezy. The things I did enjoy about this movie, although less than the dislikes, were that It had a sweet Happily-Ever-After sort of ending, and there were a few funny parts that made me laugh + there were a few sweet parts (that weren't super cheezy) where I went "awwww." Parents and viewers might want to be aware of: One h--l word and a lot of kissing and relationships. Nothing else that I can think of. I give Prom 3 stars out of 5, even though I wasn't impressed with Prom, it did have a few cute moments that I enjoyed watching.
