I love anime, and Rumiko Takahishi is a genius with creative originality, and she did a good job with her work.. I watched all the seasons of Ranma 1/2, but the first season really is an intro to what it's all about.. It talks about Ranma Saotome and his father Genma, and they go to a Journey to train in China but they meet a man that knows the Jusenkyo springs pretty well Ignoring him and his warnings, they fight and knock each other into the springs, so they get cursed. After the battle, Genma takes Ranma with him and decide to meet up with an old friend from Japan So Mr. Tendo wanted Ranma choose any of his three daughters to marry and hold the Tendo Legacy, and keep the tradition. Kasumi and Nabiki decide that Ranma and Akane are a perfect pair, seeing as how Akane hates boys so much. Ranma and Akane don't like the idea, because they have differences, and issues.. Will they ever get a long? One of the greatest Anime of all time in my opinion..The comedy is very light, it's funny, but not Dane Cook funny. It's also a love story, blended in with drama, and that's what makes this Anime so unique. I give it 5 Stars.

This collection is the basis of the story which some might argue as merely the first episode. The animation has been digitally converted and as to be expected it doesn't quite look the same, but the enhancements of being a DVD port over make up for it. These episodes introduce ranma, akane & her family, kuno, ryoga, kodachi, shampoo ~ for any of you interested in the martial arts in cartoonage, check out the taiji(tai chi) move >snake creeps down to trip kodachi in ''A Woman's Love is War! The Martial Arts Rythmic Gymnastics Challenge'' to play the lute(or guitar or pipe). This cartoon rocks in storyline. The digital port over doesn't take much away and definitely gives some great advantages like click to certain scenes. Some enjoyable art work still frame is included, as well as the music in japanese with subtitles is definitely welcome. In short its definitely the storyline that has kept this anime a favorite. The artwork is not tatoon master ~ but its good and with an addictive storyline and fun music (excl rhapsody series.. bleah) it is worth to own if you have the extra fundage.
